QUESTION POSED ON: 11 June 2004
I have a laptop with Win2000 with different profiles for the network user. I have one user that I can't get Outlook 2000 to work. The user can login to the network, gets on the new programs, and is an administrator to the laptop. When this user goes to Outlook, she gets a login screen. No matter what I put in, I can't get it to work. I made sure the login, password and domain are correct. I'm the network administrator. Other users don't have this problem. What should I do?

EXPERT RESPONSE
Another user wrote in earlier with a similar problem, and my comment to that user was that if Outlook clients have trouble connecting to Exchange, check your internal DNS settings. Make sure the DNS settings for that particular workstation are set correctly -- i.e., if you are using DHCP, make sure that the computer is picking up the correct DNS server for your organization and is not resolving to an external DNS server.
